1. Giant Squid invade California. If you live in California be afraid, very afraid!

2. This kid has a very unfortunate name, no wonder he isn’t smiling.

3. Bad Brains – Banned in DC live at CBGB’s in 1982, Rastafarian hardcore punk at it’s best.

Back, due to not demand whatsoever, it’s the return of the critically uncelebrated Wednesday Links post!

1. Like Pop, snakes will occasional try to eat themselves. Unlike Pop they normally end up having to have their jaws dislocated.

2. Up to 10,000 mobile phones are left in Taxi cabs in London every month. At least 4 of them are returned to their owners (on a good month).

3.  Make do and Mend: Sugru can be used to fix, hack and bodge your stuff back to full working order. It is a flexible silicone material that ‘cures’ in 24 hours.

4. The 8th most popular search term in Google.co.uk this year? Google. (What is the world coming to?)

5.  Daisy Lowe, Lily Cole and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley feature in the 2010 Pirelli Calendar which was shot by controversial snapper Terry Richardson.

3. Looking to quit smoking? How about marooning yourself on an uninhabited Scottish island?

4. Looking for cheaper van hire? Here are 5 things you should know.

5. Amazing Freestyle Motocross video shot in the sand dunes at Glamis.

A round up of interesting stuff from the internet this week.

1. Erik Elstran is a bmx rider who’s style is unique and more importantly good fun. I can’t really explain any of the moves but trust me, this video is worth watching. Skip past the first 30 seconds though because it starts out with a parody of bad Youtube bmx videos.

2. A Beluga Whale saves (?) a diver in distress in China. The diver was taking part in a Free-diving competition when she found herself unable to use her legs to swim back to the surface, luckily she was diving in a Whale tank at the time.

3. The World’s Most Bizarre Sports.

4.  Look out rubbish faux-punk bands, Buddyhead Records has relaunched it’s infamous Gossip Page (not for the easily offended).

5. The roads are packed full of caravans at this time of year but none of them are this cool. This one doesn’t need a car and manages to reach a decent speed all by itself…
