Get The Right People Behind You

20 Jan

This is a surprisingly tender advert from Ulster Bank who say they specialise in helpful banking and pride themselves on being run by the people for the people.

With the bankers being target number one for angry people these days it is interesting to see what approach different banks are taking to try and get them away from the money grabbing big bonus style everyone distrusts all banks for. The main part as we can see from this advert is to get people to believe they are a small family brand that will take a personal interest in every one of their customers.

It would be bad for a bank to come of as too big of a multi national brand in this climate because people will put there trust in more personal businesses rather than those run by faceless executives who live in a completely different world to the normal person.

Saving, however small the amount, makes us feel more secure.

A recent study has shown that those of us who save some money every month feel more secure than those who do not. Even if we only save a small amount the act of putting away money makes us feel more positive and secure about our financial futures.

The study showed that when we reach a small saving goal it empowers us and makes us feel more positive about our ability to increase our savings. As the economy struggles it’s good to know that you have some money to fall back on should you experience difficulties. It is worth bearing in mind that the FSCS covers the first £50,000 per person per institution for standard bank account (the rules for investments are different).
