New T-mobile Advert: dancing Flashmob.

19 Jan

T-Mobile have outdone themselves with their new advertising campaign. The new advert was created by saatchi and saatchi around the tag line ‘Life’s for sharing’. The ad was shot flash-mob style at Liverpool St Station much to the amazement of confused onlookers! Hidden cameras were used to record 400 dancers doing their thing. The full advert was on air less than 48 hours after being filmed and an edited version will run for several weeks as part of a new campaign.

I think its a ridiculous advert. It looked cheap, tacky and with twat like people, being filmed in a london train station (which is always depressing) and the dancers being in plain clothes. I can see why the advert was intended to be made this way but probably would have looked more sophisticated if the camera work was better and didnt look like a cheap home video. Sorry not impressed and I’m not the only one thinks so!!! Need professional people who can act to do good quality adverts and avoid having amatuers or just any person off the streets to make adverts. Theres so many adverts like this out now i.e. the AA and Halifax bank advert using what looks like their own staff in the adverts. Maybe its cheaper to make adverts this way nowadays.
