Dopey Spurs fans have confused the legendary track cyclist with Premier League referee Chris Foy, the match official who presided over Tottenham’s controversial 2-1 defeat by Stoke City on Sunday.

But it is the Olympic star who is on the receiving end of abuse, prompting Hoy to issue a plea on his Twitter feed asking fans to get their targets right,

“Just for the record 1) I don’t need glasses and 2) I do not lead a double life as an English premier league ref. That’s Chris Foy,” Hoy tweeted.

That failed to stem the tide immediately, however, yet the cyclist managed to see the funny side.

“Still getting some rather amusing grief from Spurs fans! On the plus side I’ve learned some new 4 letter words today. #FoyNotHoy,” he added later.

Unless you have been offline for the last month or so you are bound to have heard of Chatroulette. If you get bored with who you are talking to or they offend your sensibilities (this is quite likely) then you click ‘next’ and you are connected to somebody else. The possibilities are endless and you cannot control who you talk to or what they might say or do.

Other than a bit of bad language the video is safe to view at work whereas the actual Chatroulette site definitely is not.
